Ripple to Address XRP Ledger Security at Swell 2026
Ripple is preparing for the Swell event, which will take place in New York from October 27 to 29, 2026. The event, considered one of the company's most significant gatherings, is expected to bring together 1,500 top names from traditional finance, crypto assets, academia, and the XRP ecosystem.
Validation Agenda for XRP Ledger
Ripple's senior software engineer Vito Tumas announced on X that there is one week left until the event. Tumas highlighted how technologies supporting advancements in mathematics could be utilized to strengthen the security of the XRP Ledger.
Vito Tumas emphasized the potential of technologies supporting AI breakthroughs in mathematics to secure the XRP Ledger as he noted that there is one week left until Swell.
Tumas will participate in a session titled "Beyond Trust: Formal Verification of the XRP Ledger" alongside Dejan Cabrilo, a software engineer at Common Prefix. The session will discuss the ongoing collaboration between Ripple and Common Prefix to mathematically test the accuracy of existing and planned protocols on the XRP Ledger.
It is noted that the XRP Ledger is developed with the C++-based xrpld client and has undergone extensive testing processes. The codebase employs a wide range of test suites and Antithesis-based fuzzing methods, which are said to only catch errors that arise during testing. Formal verification provides a further layer of assurance as it can test whether a protocol rule holds valid under all possible inputs.
AI and Payment Infrastructure to Take Center Stage
One of the key topics at the event will be the session titled "What Happens When AI Moves Money?" scheduled for Wednesday, October 28. In this segment, industry representatives will evaluate the evolving architecture of agent-based payments, new protocols, digital wallets, and the infrastructure that will enable machine-to-machine payments.
The work conducted by Ripple and Common Prefix aims to prove the accuracy of existing and future protocols on the XRP Ledger through formal verification.
Speakers for the session include Nilesh Dusane, Global Head of Enterprise Payments at Amazon Web Services, Henri Stern, President of Stripe Crypto, Edward Woodford, Founder and CEO of ZeroHash, and Massimo Cervesato. These individuals are expected to focus on how value transfer will shape in a new era where AI agents directly interact with financial infrastructure.
As technical infrastructure and market tracking emerge together in the crypto ecosystem, a similar pace is observed in the meme token space. A trend in the meme token market can turn into millions of dollars in interest within days. According to data shared by Fomo, a transaction that raised the initial amount of $99 in Niu Lai to approximately $370,000 is one of the striking examples of this activity. In this market, tracking not only prices but also when and which tokens investors are trading is noteworthy. With social flows, investor rankings, and transaction notifications, Fomo App brings token discovery and trading together on the same platform. Eyes on Ripple's Announcements
Swell has stood out as one of the events where Ripple has announced its products and partnerships in previous years. Therefore, as expectations rise ahead of the 2026 meeting, messages regarding XRP Ledger security, AI-powered payment systems, and enterprise use cases will be closely monitored.
The scope of the event indicates that Ripple will not only focus on its own network but also open up topics related to the broader financial technology space. The technical sessions of the program and sections focusing on enterprise payment infrastructure could clarify the future use cases of the XRP Ledger.
