JPMorgan: CoreWeave Debt Sell-off Has Limited Global Banking Risks

By: www.odaily.news|10/20/2026 07:27:21

JPMorgan estimates that most banks globally have limited exposure to CoreWeave. The stock and bonds of CoreWeave plummeted last week, raising investor concerns about its debt financing issues. JPMorgan stated that the potential exposure of major U.S. investment banks and Japan's MUFG to CoreWeave could range between $1 billion and $3 billion, while most European and Asian participants have exposures of less than $500 million. These exposures are primarily realized through delayed draw term loans held by special purpose entities, with funds released when project milestones are achieved. JPMorgan believes that banks are managing their risk exposure to CoreWeave appropriately and have sufficient collateral.
