Fairshake Invests Additional $7 Million Against Sherrod Brown, Total Spending Exceeds $46 Million
The cryptocurrency political action committee Fairshake, along with its affiliated organization Defend American Jobs, has recently added approximately $5.2 million in media spending and about $1.95 million in follow-up expenditures to oppose Ohio Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown, bringing its total spending against him in the 2026 cycle to around $46.66 million. During the same period, they also supported spending for his Republican opponent Jon Husted. Brown has long been skeptical of cryptocurrency and previously served as the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. Fairshake has already invested about $40 million in opposition to him ahead of the 2024 election. This increase in spending comes after Fairshake announced support for 32 House representatives on October 5. Fairshake had previously planned to invest at least $30 million against Brown, a figure that has now been significantly surpassed.
